Over the years, a lot of research has been done to identify the “factors of change” in therapy. In other words…when therapy does lead to change, what are the factors? One of the factors is the relationship between the therapist and the client(s). This is why I offer your first session for free. You know yourself and you’ll have a pretty good sense of whether you want to work with me after we meet for that first 60 minutes. I’ll tell you a little bit about how I work, you’ll tell me a little bit about why you’re seeking help right now, and I’ll give you some feedback. We’ll have a brief discussion, and I’ll let you know how I would approach your situation. So, not only will you have a sense of how I work in real-time, you’ll also have a sense of where I would take us next. It costs you nothing but your time. Contact me and let’s see if it’s a good fit. If not, you owe me nothing, and you’ll know a little bit more about what you are looking for and not looking for in a therapist.
individual.
Therapy for individuals. We’ll have a brief discussion, and I’ll let you know how I would approach your situation. So, not only will you have a sense of how I work in real-time, you’ll also have a sense of where I would take us next. It costs you nothing but your time.
family.
Over the years of working with hundreds of families I have learned that family therapy works best when there is a strong alliance between the therapist and the parent(s)/caregiver(s). I support parents to identify a specific, observable vision for their family and home, and we work to realize that vision.
